I tried to go to more traditional hospital doctor appointments while I was pregnant but I knew I was interested in midwifery care. I ended up trying out the hospital obgyn method and I swear I only ever saw a doctor for 5 minutes tops after waiting 40. Then, any time I had questions about pregnancy or my own body, there was not time or space for me to ask without being labeled as difficult.

Making the switch to midwifery care with Jeni absolutely changed my pregnancy experience. If I ever needed to wait to be seen it was 5mins tops and then once I was seen Jeni would talk to me for 40mins and help educate me through what was going on in my body. They also referred me to a doula who was so helpful as well. I gave birth in such an empowered manner though things didn’t turn out as planned. Jeni is the best!

She was so thorough with my care that my last few weeks pregnant when my blood pressure spiked she transferred me over to the hospital. It was not the plan at all. I was devastated but Jeni encouraged me through the slight disappointment. Let me tell you—i Got to the hospital to be and the nurses said they LOVED coming into my room. It was so peaceful they said and I already knew what I was doing. They also noted how I already had my after birth tinctures for contractions and came prepared. With diffuser and twinkle lights and soft musical playing, though we pivoted I know it’s because of my care at the Village Midwife that I had an empowered birth experience. It’s not just charting and labs, it’s education and lowkey inspirational that my body was made to bring my daughter into this world, sometimes we need more help, often we don’t.

I 100/10 recommend and would go back again.

Funny enough Jeni also delivered my friends baby At her home a few weeks before I gave birth. She is the best!

I love Jeni so much! Such an amazing midwife and human being. She’ll make you laugh, cry (in a good way), and be there when you need her most. She has so much experience and gives great advice and never makes you feel crazy! She really helped me during my pregnancy and always answered all my questions. I would recommend The Village Midwife to all pregnant mamas!

the village midwife kept me confident && protected through my entire season w the team . i was supported i was heard && i was considered !!! if i were to do it all over again i wouldnt trade them for anything !

Best and most stress free pregnancy care experience I’ve had. Midwives that truly care about you and your baby and not just pushing nonstop medical testing and treatments that weren’t needed for my pregnancy. They throughly explain everything you need to know through the pregnancy and labor process.
They take their time to treat you as a human with rights and not just a quick patient that needs to be in and out.

10/10 will highly recommend!!!! Jenni and the “village” truly made my first pregnancy and birthing experience a breeze. They were extremely nurturing and answered any questions or concerns I had clearly. They made sure I had everything I needed and catered to what I wanted during my son’s birth. It felt like home away from home. Everyone was so welcoming and was reassuring. I definitely will be coming back for baby #2!!!!

I have experienced 1 hospital birth and 2 home births, with different healthcare providers each time.
I had wonderful pregnancies and deliveries with both of the midwives I was privileged to work with, however, my experience with Jeni and Alyssa has been the best one of all!
They are both so professional yet very calm and kind.
They are so ready to answer any and all questions you may have very objectively without pressuring you into any specific direction. They inform you well out of their own experience and education as well as offer many other reputable resources for if your interested. I loved the freedom and confidence I felt for me and my husband to make informed decisions for our family.
They are wonderful people and even better midwives. I would love to come back to them if I'm blessed with another baby in the future.

Jennifer (my midwife) and Alyssa (my doula) have been incredible throughout my entire pregnancy. They truly go above and beyond in every way — always supportive, kind, and caring. As a first-time mom, I couldn’t have asked for a better team to guide me through my pregnancy and birthing experience.
